♥ The Uber Fashionable Lola Leon ♥

There is nothing I love more than keeping in touch with my students throughout the years.  I met the beautiful Lourdes "Lola" Leon when she was a tiny second grader.  She had gorgeous long, brown, wavy hair and spent many recess periods dancing on the playground.  Despite the formality of her school uniform, Lola always managed to make it look very hip, even with the slightest pop of her perfectly ironed collar.  Now a teenager in high school, Lola continues to be quite fashion savvy.  She has partnered up with her mom to create The Material Girl Collection - A junior clothing line available at Macy's.  It's always a pleasure to hear about the success of former students.  Lola will be giving a sneek peek of her Spring Collection tonight, 2/23 and tomorrow, 2/24, on Access Hollywood at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.  Please watch!

I've had such a special birthday & Valentine's Day celebration this past weekend at the beach!

My 4th graders threw the cutest and sweetest surprise birthday party for me on Friday morning.  I walked into the classroom to 34 nine-year-olds yelling "Surprise!!!" followed by, "OK, Mrs. Young, now sit down right here because we have something special for you."  They serenaded me with the song "Just the Way You Are."  My students are the sweetest little people ever.

 

Ending this Valentine's evening with the film "Crazy Heart."

Hottie Hairstylist Jonathan Antin

How much do you pay for a cut?  I've been a sucker for stylists at Jose Eber, Umberto, & the Chris McMillan Salon, but no stylist has been able to cut like Jonathan Antin.  After watching Bravo's "Blow Out," I fell in love with Jonathan's HOT signature cut.  More than anything, I ♥ that he loves LONG hair!!  There's nothing worse than going to get a cut and leaving in tears because you've had too much chopped off! WTH???  I feel like I spend so much of my life growing out bad cuts!  I am dying to be babed out by none other than Jonathan Antin, the king of hair! 

Mr. Antin, when are you going to help this teacher out?
